Festival Volunteering
Volunteers play a vital role in the success of our festival. We welcome volunteers aged 16 and over.
Roles
Volunteering roles
General Volunteer
Our General Volunteers are the backbone of the Festival. From working in the speaker tents to accompanying schools during their visit, this is a varied and rewarding role throughout the week.
Team Leader
Team Leaders are responsible for a team of volunteers, managing and planning their activities throughout the day across speaker tents, main entry gate and the volunteer tent.
Marketing Volunteer
Working with our Press team, volunteers help spread the word about all aspects of the Festival. You will need a good understanding of social media and be prepared to move quickly around the site.
Photography Volunteer
The Chalke History Festival is a visual feast and we need skilled photographers to capture highlights from talks, events, re-enactments and performances for our website and press releases.
An experience to remember.
Volunteering at Chalke is an unforgettable experience — you'll be part of the team that makes one of the UK's most celebrated festivals happen. To apply, please contact us via the website.
